‘Rose and Violet’ heart necklace

With engraved text from the poem " The Eve of St. Agnes"   Romantic poet J Keats, Sterling silver heart with 9ct gold accents, the necklace has  a blue sapphire set in the flower cross which overlays the heart. Chain is sterling silver available in variable lengths.

This piece is an affirmation on how love can conquer tradition and circumstance. It is a story in the tradition of 'Romeo and Juliet' except that in Keats's poem the two lovers escape into the future. I love this piece of text for its use of the flowers in the vision.

Text engraved reads

" Seen mid the sapphire heaven’s deep repose;

Into her dream he melted, as the rose
Blendeth its odour with the violet,—-"
